A horse trainer has been found safe and well just days after she disappeared from a service station following an ‘argument with race stewards’.
Bindi Cheers appeared dehydrated when she was spotted near John Renshaw Drive in Beresfield, north-west of Newcastle, NSW, shortly before 1.30pm on Wednesday.
The 44-year-old mother was taken to hospital for treatment and psychiatric assessment after she was found dazed and confused – and she attempted to walk back into the bush when police tracked her down, Newcastle Herald reported.
Earlier this week, her husband Peter Cheers revealed his wife had gone missing last year but not for this long.
He said Mrs Cheers was forced to travel to Port Macquarie to train her horses after being banned from their local track following a bitter dispute with officials.
‘There are a lot of issues to do with it,’ he said, adding that the ban had caused her to stress.

The 44-year-old woman failed to return home after she wandered off into a nearby bush off a service station
This comes as Mrs Cheers was last seen on Sunday evening after leaving the Hawkesbury Racecourse, north-west of Sydney, to travel home to Taree on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
However, she failed to return home after she wandered off into a nearby bush off a service station on Enterprise Drive, Beresfield where four of her horses were found in a trailer.
Her safe return comes following an argument she had with a Racing NSW steward after one of her horses Dolphin Tale was scratched from the race, Racing.com reported.
The incident occurred after her runner Gumball had a warning placed on it after losing its race by a huge margin.
Apparently these disagreements caused Mrs Cheers to leave the racecourse early, meaning officials scratched her horse Phrases from a later race.
Mrs Cheers then apparently drove to the Beresfield service station where her horses were found, but she was nowhere in sight, according to Fairfax.
