A YouTube star was visited by police last night after fans believed she may have been kidnapped after she whispered ‘help me’ while on camera.

Scotland Yard has said Marina Joyce, 19, ‘is safe and well’ after the hashtag #savemarinajoyce began trending worldwide.

Miss Joyce, who lives in Enfield, east London, was promoting a new pink dress in a film posted online four days ago but fans believe that it contains a secret message.

The vlogger can be heard saying ‘help me’ while being filmed in her garden and some said she was being directed by a mysterious figure off screen.

Others said the 19-year-old looked terrified in another section of the YouTube video filmed inside her house.

Some of her 800,000 followers on YouTube and Twitter even became convinced the teenager had been grabbed by ISIS.

Their fears was heightened when she tweeted last night that she was holding a meet-and-greet in east London and people began urging people not to attend in case it was a trap.

One blog post, which has been viewed thousands of times, said: ‘DO NOT GO TO THE PARTY. PLEASE. Marina’s twitter account (which Marina probably does not have control over) has tweeted about a party. Do NOT go. There have been reports of shootings in the location. i have the feeling, along with many other people, that someone is forcing marina to make these video

British YouTuber  Alfie Deyes tweeted: ‘Please please do not attend @MarinaJoyce7’s meet up tomorrow morning. I’d hate for anyone to be in danger #savemarinajoyce x

According to the Evening Standard fans did had to Bethnal Green this morning but Marina did not appear.

Last night one fan of the star apparently found her address and gave it to police and asked them to check her safety.

The official Met Police Twitter feed for Enfield said this morning: ‘Officers have visited YouTube user Marina Joyce. She is safe and well. #ETeam #savemarinajoyce’.

Fellow YouTube star Emma Blackery, a singer songwriter, says she has also had confirmation Marina is well, but fans have demanded proof.

She said today: ‘I’m not sure why people keep accusing YouTubers of lying if they say they know people have checked on Marina? It’s not a massive conspiracy’.

‘If I’ve been told she’s okay, I will tell you what I’ve heard. I don’t have recorded phone calls to give you. So please stop asking me’.
